Manhattan’s $90 million mansion has officially hit the market. The 35-foot-wide townhouse at 4 East 80th Street, with its 10 bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms, and 3 kitchens spread over 18,000 square feet, was purchased by late gym mogul Lucille Roberts in 1995 for $6 million, and her family is attempting the resale now with hopes for a slight profit. If those photos aren’t enough, townhouse superbroker Paula Del Nunzio brings all her powers to bear on the brokerbabble, which goes through the history of the landmark house starting with its design by C.P.H. Gilbert for Frank Woolworth’s middle daughter.
Quite the sprawling mansion, to say the least…. a 50-person dining room, a 35-foot-wide library/wet bar/powder room combo on the third floor, a gym, a master suite with two sitting rooms on the fourth floor, and a staff suite.
If Manhattan’s most expensive single residential sale ever was $53 million, and the next most-expensive listing on the market is $72 million, why pay $90 million for this? Listing agent Del Nunzio says, “While the other great mansions that have come on the market in New York have been shells requiring total renovation, this is the only mansion to be formally available that has been fully renovated in a traditional prewar style. Will Carl Kruger and Michael Turano get Adjoining Cells?

In the past week the New York Post has reported separately on two anti-gay New York state senators who are under investigations for corruption.
The two Senators are among the turncoat “group of 8” Democrats who helped kill the marriage equality bill in the New York state legislature in 2009.
State Sen. Carl Kruger (D-Brooklyn), according to the Post, traded political favors for more than $1 million in bribes over the last five years — which his live-in boyfriend helped launder.
Kruger and his secret longtime companion, Manhattan gynecologist Michael Turano, were among eight men arrested in a sweeping government “pay-to-play” corruption scandal. The charges include allegations that Kruger received bribes and other largess to help two competing health-care companies buy hospitals, and direct state funds to those firms.
Kruger’s constant companion, Turano, is accused of using bribe money he deposited in two shell companies for Kruger to pay the lease on a Bentley luxury sedan, credit-card bills and the mortgage on the garish, multimillion-dollar Mill Basin home where the two men for years have shacked up with Turano’s mom and brother, authorities and neighbors said. W T F ?
It’s not just New York State Sen. Carl Kruger — the anti-gay gay male ass admirer — who’s being investigated on corruption charges.
Separately, the state Attorney General’s Office is investigating state Sen. Shirley Huntley and her ties to non-profits that have soaked taxpayers for more than $400,000.
News of the probe comes a week after the Post revealed the Queens Democrat tried to funnel $155,000 to her Parent Workshop nonprofit and as new questions emerge about the shady group.

Michael Alago Booksigning March 19th
left the music business in the summer of 2003 to concentrate on another lifelong passion—photography.
Working initially with a Polaroid camera, Michael embarked on a series of stark male portraits—a series that continues to this day.
While these images of friends, models and bodybuilders feature the muscular physique, tattoos, and attitude that define this particular male subset, they also bear Alago’s distinctive stamp of irreverent heat. A collection of his work entitled Rough Gods was published in 2005.
His new book coffee-table book, Brutal Truth: Muscular, Tough Machos , just came out!

Donald Trump…The Man Who Would Be President says NO to Gays
THE MAN THAT WOULD BE PRESIDENT.
God Help us all!
Donald Trump is shoring up support for a 2012 presidential run after sending an aide to the key election state of Iowa.
Michael Cohen, executive vice-president at the Trump Organization, flew to Des Moines, the state capital, on today, where the first votes in the contest for the Republican nomination will be cast on February 6.
FYI – Trump is not so big on gays. Trump told Greta van Susteren on her talk show last month that though he loves the fact that there are lots of gays and lesbians in New York City, he doesn’t love them enough to allow them to get married (or divorced like he’s been three times).
In an article in the Des Moines Register, Trump not only reiterates his feelings opposition on marriage equality but expanded on those thoughts saying that gays and lesbians should not be allowed to have partner benefits.
“Asked whether he supports allowing same-sex couples to marry, Trump said no. Iowa conservatives have overwhelmingly opposed the 2009 Iowa Supreme Court decision overturning the state’s ban on gay marriage.”
“They should not be able to marry,” he said. But asked whether gay couples should be able access the same benefits as married couples, he said his “attitude on it has not been fully formed. Given a second to think, Trump said on marriage and civil benefits, “As of this moment, I would say no and no.”
“He’s an extreme bigot,” says Allen Roskoff, who was the first openly gay appointed official in New York City and has served under Gov. Mario Cuomo and Mayor David Dinkins, among others.” Roskoff adds: “Not only should gays be furious, we should be boycotting the products of the advertisers on his TV show” – “Celebrity Apprentice,” which premiered Sunday night on NBC-TV “and certainly boycotting his casinos and hotels and apartment buildings.” Noting that Trump recently switched his stance on abortion from pro-choice to pro-life, Roskoff says: “His game plan is to appeal to the extreme right.”

Queens and Gays in Queens for St. Patricks Celebration
About 80 groups, some with 100 members, will march down Skillman and Woodside avenues for the St. Pat’s for All Parade, an all-inclusive parade that Co-Chairman Brendan Fay began after gay and lesbian Irish groups were banned from marching in Manhattan’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 1999. This will be the parade’s 12th year.
“What’s very moving is the community activism and hope and commitment that made this inclusive parade possible… and now it’s another traditional parade in this city,” said parade co-chair Brendan Fay. – “It’s the most progressive parade in New York; we welcome everybody,” added parade co-chair Kathleen Walsh D’Arcy.
“I’m very proud that in Queens, in Sunnyside, this Sunday a most unique parade will take place,” Fay said.
The parade assembles at 1 p.m. and kicks off at 2 p.m. Beginning at 47th Street and Skillman Avenue, the parade will travel east until 56th Street. From there, the parade will move north on 56th Street one block before turning east on Woodside Avenue and ending at 58th Street.
This year’s grand marshals include Patricia Lewsley, the Northern Ireland commissioner for children and young people, and Brig. Gen. Jim Cullen, who acted as an adviser to President Barack Obama on matters of human rights.
“This is a coming home for Jim,” Fay said. “Jim grew up in Sunnyside.”

Blending the Spice Girls
with a hint of Ke$ha and a little RuPaul, the
ground-breaking new girl group XELLE is poised to take the pop anddance music charts by storm with the debut of the video for their first single “PARTY GIRL”.
After a chance meeting at a karoke party,powerhouse female vocalists JC Cassis and Rony Goffer teamed with drag sensation Mimi Imfurst to create XELLE, a unique girl group for the newish millennium.
Written and produced by Zach Adam, the fun-loving dance floor anthem “PARTY GIRL” is already a favorite amongst nightclub DJs and major market pop radio stations throughout the US. The song has also been
featured on MTV’s The Seven. It is currently available for sale on iTunes. The video will be available on YouTube beginning March 4.
The video, directed by Hilarion Banks and choreographed by Ryan McNally with costumes by Geoffrey Mac was filmed in a single take, without permit (gasp!) on a moving New York City subway train (the N/Q line
in, appropriately, Queens, to be exact).
With 40 extras, strobe lights, confetti cannons, glowsticks, follow spots, dancers and anyone else who happened to be riding the, XELLE turned the subway train into a moving dance party. In the spirit of NYC’s infamous outlaw parties of the 1990s, the music video is a love letter to NYC nightlife and to party girls everywhere.

Gay New Jersey Couple Awarded $3 Million in Burger King Gay Bashing
Justice prevails in New Jersey!
A gay New Jersey couple who were chased and beaten by Burger King employees following a 2007 altercation have been awarded $3.15 million by a Hudson County jury.
In a civil trial that began Feb. 7, victims Peter Casbar, 43, and Noel Robichaux, 46, testified that a dispute with the person taking their order escalated to involve other workers and then became violent, even after the couple had left the Union City restaurant. ( I want to know how does that happen? How do you place an order for food – and it turns that ugly??)
“The manager and a group of angry restaurant employees chased the couple and then mercilessly kicked, beat, and spat upon the two men while screaming hate-filled anti-gay invectives,” the couple’s attorney, James F. Fine said in a statement.
Casbar and Robichaux said they were victims of a hate crime and brought the lawsuit under New Jersey’s anti-discrimination laws. The jury agreed and ordered Food Service Properties Corp. and Union City Restaurant Corp., which owned the Burger King where the incident occurred, to pay damages.
“Violence against anybody, including gay people, cannot be condoned,” said Fine after the verdict. “The jury spoke to this issue.”
The jury award includes $1.7 in punitive damages. Food Service Properties Corp. and Union City Restaurant Corp. which own a total of Seven Burger Kings, including the one in Union City where the attack started were ordered to pay a total of $3.15 million.
Angel Caraballo and Christopher Soto, were employed at the Union City Burger King in 2007. They have both plead guilty to aggravated assault in the attack on the gay New Jersey couple.
John Epperson aka Lypsinka, talks about BLACK SWAN
John writes a post for the Daily Beast this week and says, “We all have our own Black Swan, that creature inside each of us who is waiting to spring its blazing essence on the unsuspecting world. Mine is, indeed, The Fabulous Lypsinka. My White Swan self was—and to some degree still is—a shy, frightened, sensitive sissy boy from the small town of Hazlehurst, Mississippi.
I was not so shy or frightened, however, that I couldn’t work up the courage to apply for a job as rehearsal pianist at American Ballet Theatre soon after I arrived in New York City in 1978. Two years later, I was a member of the company and in the studio with Gelsey Kirkland, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Anthony Dowell, Natalia Makarova, Alicia Alonso, Rudolph Nureyev, Carla Fracci, Margot Fonteyn, Cynthia Gregory, and Sir Kenneth McMillan. In her 1986 memoir, Dancing on My Grave, Gelsey did not refer to me as the Jaded Piano Player, only “the pianist” who witnessed the heart-wrenching real-life scenes in which she struggled with Baryshnikov, and—perhaps most of all—her own inner Black Swan.
Lypsinka lives the life that glamorous movie legends are supposed to live. But a bit player—even one as important as the rehearsal pianist in a film based on the balletic world—must get up at 5 a.m. in the deepest of winter and take an unglamorous subway ride to the set!
“Most of the scenes I filmed in Black Swan were shot in a very cold studio that couldn’t be warmed because the low hum of the heater was picked up too much by the boom mikes. It was so cold—and Natalie Portman, the movie’s star, was dressed in such flimsy dance clothes—one might wonder how the behind-the-scenes events that have played themselves out in the gossip mills could have come true in such a steamy fashion.”

Gay Husbands of New York Reality Show Coming From Bravo?

Meet the new Gay Husbands of New York. Back in December, it was “leaked” that Bravo’s front man, the flamboyant and fun Andy Cohen, was developing a show about gay socialites to rival Logo’s show The A-List: New York.
The goal is to find and feature a handful of men who are at the top of the gay social milieu here in New York. Sources are saying the Bravo show have not finalized its cast, but the network is allegedly working with Factory PR founder Mark Silver, book publicist Kenneth Gillett, hottie interior designer Jordan Carlyle and hottie boyfriend Christopher Fawcett, fashion showroom owner Joey Giuntoli and Penguin designer Kristopher Haigh, who’s also the promoter of a popular gay night at The Park in Chelsea. – I am told six men HAVE in fact been signed on. But MUMM is the word….no one is admitting anything yet!
Andy Cohen recently Tweeted: “HEY EVERYBODY: Do you really think Bravo is doing a show called “From the Bottom to the Top”?!? We’re not.” – However, word is in New York, there is still a buzz going around…..maybe they will do it with a different name perhaps?

New York Gov. Cuomo Pushes For Gay Marriage
“I don’t want to be the governor who lobbies for marriage equality.
“I don’t want to be the governor who fights for marriage equality.
“I want to be the governor who signs the law that makes equality a reality in the state of New York,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo has said.
Cuomo insisted yesterday he will indeed ask lawmakers to vote on marriage equality this session in June.
“We’ll be working very hard to pass it,” said Cuomo during an appearance of Hofstra University, according to the New York Times.
It is not immediately obvious how the legislation would fare markedly better this year, given that the composition of the Senate, which is now controlled by Republicans, has not changed significantly since the last vote.
But gay-rights advocates point to public-opinion polls that show more New Yorkers than ever support the legalization of same-sex marriage.
