New Yorks Elaine Stritch Farewell Concert at Cafe Carlyle in April

WOW! Four-time Tony nominee and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Grand Dame, Elaine Stritch has announced that she will play her final engagement at Cafe Carlyle this April.

Her farewell show, titled Elaine Stritch at the Carlyle: Movin’ Over and Out,
will play the intimate club April 2 through 6.
The 88-year-old legendary New York performer is leaving her home in NYC and relocating to a condo in
Michigan, her native state.

Fans nervous that this departure means retirement for Stritch need not worry! The incomparable star told The New York Times,
What actor would ever say they’re done? I loved being on Broadway, but
performing has become exhausting, and I just don’t want to live in New
York anymore… I just don’t have the energy, darling. I’m 88! I don’t
look or always feel it, but I’m 88!
