Alan Cumming – I Bought a Blue Car Today – in New York City

You know you’ve arrived when you become a vitamin. Scottish actor-singer Alan Cumming, cast as the Great Gazoo in “The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas,” was informed by excited producers that his character had enough heat to make it into a bottle of Flintstones vitamins.

“I like to think of chubby American children chewing on me,” Cumming muses in his diverting new cabaret show, “I Bought a Blue Car Today.”

Alan Cumming has been touring his  one man show I Bought A Blue Car Today  from Londoa to Los Angeles.  An album of the songs was just released and you can catch him here at  New York City’s Highline Ballroomon October 25. This droll, naughty and seriously dishy evening, is not to be missed.

Cumming won the Tony Award for Cabaret. He will be seen on the big screen in Julie Taymor’s adaptation of The Tempest and is slated to play the Green Goblin in the upcoming Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, to be directed by Taymor. – Scheduled for  February 2010. Music by Bono.
