HIVHero.org, formerly GayLifeNYC.org, is the Web site for HIV Experience Resources Organization (HERO), a non-profit organization operating in New York State.

For several years, New Yorker Michael Cavnaugh has given of himself tirelessly to help this cause.

Sean Stewart from ABT Talks with HIV Hero.org

   

Born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey and raised in California, Sean Stewart joined American Ballet Theatre as a member of the corps de ballet in 1997.

He began dancing at the age of 10 with Lisa Clark, started ballet at 12 with Yanina Cywinska, and went on to study at Joffrey II and the Paris Opera Ballet School. He participated in summer programs for The Joffrey Ballet in San Antonio and the Bolshoi Ballet at Vail.

Stewart left ABT in 2002. But Stewart rejoined American Ballet Theatre in January 2008.

He will perform in the new season starting this month.

He sat down with Michael Cavnaugh of GayLifeNYC.org / HIVHero.org, to chat about growing up, bullying, his alternative diets  and his support of HIV  organizations.

Broadway hero for August…Mr. Gay USA Eddie Rabon

Eddie Rabon.   He does Broadway Bares every year, Is an Assistant Dean for a performing Arts School and the current, Mr. Gay USA.

GayLifeNYC.org sat down with Eddie and talked about his win last year, and his many accomplishments in the theatre world. – And he is very very involved with Broadway Cares / Broadway Bares.

Peter got his first Broadway role his first three months in NYC. He is a fitness pole dancer, does charity work including Broadway Bares and is a super nice and smart man. 

Born and raised Morman, he LOVES sweets and chocolates –  but of course, spends lots of time in the gym.

He is moved to NYC just 3 months ago and has landed a role in CHICAGO!

You may have seen Marty on the Great White Way in “The Secret Garden”, “Wicked” or “Xanadu“, or in concerts all over the world.

Marty Thomas is a singer of remarkable ability who made his Billboard debut with “Resurrect Me (Lift Me Up)” on Westend Records in 2001. His dance tunes soar into the realm of the club anthem with Marty’s shining vocal delivery firmly at the helm.

Remixed by artists such as Tom Moulton, Hex Hector, Blaze and Julian Marsh, he was recognized with Grammy nominations and Billboard awarded the song, song of the year in the gospel/contemporary christian category.

He takes time out of busy schedule this month to chat with Michael Cavanaugh at Gay Life NYC.org


Later this month, there’s a  special edition of “Scott Nevins‘ Curtain Call” with  Marty  over  at  Splash bar.  Monday, March 15th, 11:30pm, directly following the video madness of “Musical Mondays”, co-host Emily McNamara welcomes Marty Thomas back to town and back to “Curtain Call to serve up a full set of Broadway’s hottest tunes plus a few surprises!
