Were the World Mine, the exuberant multi-award winning gay film festival smash hit, opens November 21st in New York exclusively at the Cinema Village!
The film stars Judy McLane (Broadway's Mamma Mia), Tanner Cohen (In Bloom), Nathaniel David Becker, Wendy Robie ( Twin Peaks), Christian Stolte (Prison Break), and Zelda Williams (House of D), daughter of Robin Williams. Directed and /co-written by Tom Gustafson along with co-writer/producer Cory James Krueckeberg, the film is produced by SPEAKproductions in association with The Group Entertainment.
In Were the World Mine, a struggling gay teen’s spirit soars when his eccentric teacher casts him as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. After magically discovering the play's love-potion, the teen puckishly begins to turn his closed-minded town gay - including casting a love spell on the town's stunning jock - with hilarious and unexpected results. After he reluctantly restores the town's free will, he is amazed with the surprising results. It is an exuberant teen musical comedy, which brims with memorable original music, fresh and lively performances from his young ensemble, and a light, sure-handed comedic touch.

Only through some fancy footwork, advice from his Aunt Helen (John Waters Cult Icon Mink Stole) and mentor Harry (Emmy Award winning Leslie Jordan, Sordid Lives, Will & Grace), and a daring provocative sexual escapade can Casey figure out how to set things right and perhaps even find the love he’s been seeking.
