Pride in The City - July 31 - August 1

In 2003, POCC conceptualized the idea of Pride in the City  and identified Black pride celebrations as a unique venue to bring culturally relevant prevention strategies to the Black gay community. For the past four years, Pride in the City (PITC) has been NYC’s premiere Black pride celebration. Pride in the City has strived to build and affirm the Black lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in New York City. By providing opportunities for cultural celebration, networking, education and increasing individual member’s connection to community and its resources. PITC has grown into NYC’s largest Black pride event.
